Our Mission
The mission of Wilderness Medicine in the Alps is to teach medicine as it applies to the wilderness. Through a collaboration of educators from Europe and the United States, we have been teaching in Chamonix-Mt. Blanc since 2013.

Brought hundreds of students from all over the world together for cultural exchange of medical ideas.
Developed protocols for evaluating and treating people in the back country
Performed studies to determine what are common injuries and diseases found in the Alps.
Determined what animals and insects are found in the Alps that pose a threat to the wilderness traveler..
